Hybrid Sweat Equity

What is Hybrid Sweat Equity?

Pixelette contributes agreed professional services in exchange for a combination of cash fees and equity participation. The allocation of equity, milestone conditions, founder rights and governance arrangements are established in the relevant commercial and shareholder agreements.

The partnership

How the partnership works

Cash, delivery, equity and milestones are agreed for the venture. The precise commercial model depends on its circumstances.

Agreed cash contribution

The founder and Pixelette agree what portion of the professional fee is paid in cash, and when. There is no published standard split.

Professional services

Pixelette provides the delivery described in the agreed scope. The work is contracted. Customers, revenue and fundraising are not.

Equity participation

Any equity is set out in the commercial and shareholder agreements. It is not a fixed allocation, and it is not presented here as a standard percentage.

Milestones

Responsibilities can be linked to milestones defined in the agreements. What counts as acceptance is agreed for that venture, not assumed from this page.

Delivery

From concept to launch

Five stages, used to organise the work. They are not guaranteed completion times.

Prove the problem, the target customer and the commercial outcome before anyone funds a product. The founder’s thesis becomes an evidence-backed scope.

The agreements

Protecting the partnership

Every venture is different. We establish clear commercial, delivery and governance arrangements through agreements tailored to the partnership.

Delivery scope

Define what will be delivered, what is excluded and the responsibilities of each party.

Specific rights and obligations are determined by the agreements entered into for each venture.

Questions

Common questions

Is Hybrid Sweat Equity free development?

No. Pixelette contributes agreed professional services in exchange for a combination of cash fees and equity participation. It is not free work, and it is not a cash investment by Pixelette.

Is there a standard equity percentage?

No. The allocation of equity, milestone conditions, founder rights and governance arrangements are established in the relevant agreements. A percentage on this website would be misleading.

Do founders keep complete control?

Decision-making rights depend on the shareholder and governance documents for that venture. This page does not promise that every founder retains complete control.

Is a paid pilot required before a conversation?

No standard paid pilot, validation retainer or other preliminary fee is required by this website. If any preliminary work is contracted, that is a separate agreement.

Does following the stages guarantee a launch, customers or investment?

No. The stages describe how delivery can be organised. They are not a timetable, and they are not a promise of customers, revenue or external investment.

What should I do if I want to discuss a partnership?

Explore a partnership. You can start on the startups page first if you want a clearer next step. Submitting an enquiry does not create a partnership.
